Tottenham fans revel in Sissoko > Ozil stat following Huddersfield win

A surprising statistic surrounding the creative production of Arsenal and Tottenham midfielders Mesut Ozil and Moussa Sissoko has surfaced online this afternoon, following the latter’s superb performance versus Huddersfield.

    Tottenham 4-0 Huddersfield

Spurs welcomed Premier League basement-dwellers Huddersfield to London a short time ago, as Mauricio Pochettino’s men continue their hunt to secure a place in the English top-flight’s top-4.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men headed into proceedings holding the final of the Champions League qualification spots, having sat a point clear of Arsenal, and 2 adrift of 3rd-placed Chelsea.

The capital giants had put their dismal recent spell of form firmly behind them since the beginning of April, with Tottenham having followed a 2-0 league defeat of Crystal Palace last weekend with a historic Champions League quarter-final first-leg win over Manchester City on Tuesday night.

And, when the 90 minutes at the club’s new ground were said and done this afternoon, Spurs’ upturn in form very much continued.

After a frustrating opening 25 minutes to proceedings, a pair of quick-fire goals from Victor Wanyama and Lucas Moura eventually saw the hosts take a 2-0 lead into the interval.

And, despite Huddersfield having stood firm for the majority of the second-half, a late flurry from Man of the Match Lucas Moura within the game’s closing minutes resulted in the Brazilian rounding out an impressive hat-trick, in the process adding some deserved gloss to the scoreline.

    ‘The numbers don’t lie’

However, while it is Lucas who has since understandably taken the majority of the headlines in the aftermath of Tottenham’s latest win, the standout performer for the majority of this afternoon’s matchup was actually Moussa Sissoko.

The French midfielder, who has enjoyed a new lease of life this season, controlled proceedings in the middle of the park throughout his 75 minutes on the pitch, even chipping in with an assist for Lucas’ first of the day.

And, in setting up his teammate for his side’s 2nd, a rather-surprising statistic has since surfaced online, comparing the creative production of the Spurs star with that of Arsenal counterpart Mesut Ozil:
