Mauricio Pochettino flags up possible edge over Arsenal, Chelsea & Man United

Battling Arsenal, Chelsea & Man United

The race to finish in the Premier League top four remains a hotly contested battle.

On Sunday morning, Tottenham are once again in the driver’s seat sitting in third spot.

That’s following a 4-0 home win over Huddersfield: Tottenham’s third victory in a row in their brand new stadium.

Chelsea are fourth in the table ahead of their trip to Liverpool on Sunday.

Man United are fifth after a 2-1 win over West Ham yesterday. Arsenal, who head to Watford on Monday night, are sixth on 63 points.

Mauricio Pochettino on Tottenham’s goal difference

Speaking after the Huddersfield game, Mauricio Pochettino voiced his belief on the impact of goal difference in the race to finish with a Champions League berth:

For sure it’s going to be tough. We are fighting against big sides and teams that are building to win the league or to win big trophies or be in the top four.

We are going to fight against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. I think until the end it will be a very tough race.

Of course, to score goals in that opportunity can help in the end. Goal difference can be decisive at the end of the season to achieve the top four.

    Lucas Moura’s hat-trick vs Huddersfield

Tottenham rotated their XI for Saturday’s match against already-relegated Huddersfield.

Harry Kane and Dele Alli both missed out after sustaining injuries against Man City in the Champions League.

Lucas Moura was the hero for Spurs scoring a hat-trick.

After the match Moura celebrated with a young fan.
