- Romelu Lukaku is a major doubt for Man United ahead of Wolves clash in the FA Cup
- Lukaku sustained a foot injury meaning United will be without four strikers
- The trio of Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata are all out for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Romelu Lukaku has been ruled out of Manchester United's squad that will battle Wolves in their FA Cup quarter-final clash with a foot injury.
According to Daily Mail, Lukaku will join the trio of Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata, who have previously been ruled out of the trip to Molineux on Saturday night.
Lukaku cropped the injury during the Champions League win over Paris-Saint Germain and made it more severe after playing against Arsenal last week.
The Belgian star has been undergoing treatment at United’s training base Carrington, but is likely to sit out of the game.
Lukaku is expected to head to Belgium camp on Sunday, for further medical checks, but has been marked a major doubt ahead of matches against Russia and Cyprus.
The Belgium international rediscovered his form lately, netting six times in three games against Crystal Palace, Southampton and PSG before failing to score against the Gunners.
Interestingly, with Lukaku missing in action against Wolves, Man United’s boss Ole Solskjaer is expected to return to a 4-4-2 formation that will see Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford play in attack.
Meanwhile, Ander Herrera is expected to return to first team duties against Wolves after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Already, the duo of Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata will be back in action after the international break, but Sanchez is unlikely to return until April.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that David Beckham is set to join Man United mates to celebrate 20th anniversary of their 2-1 Champions League comeback win over Bayern Munich as both teams clash again in a friendly.
According to the BBC, the encounter slated for Old Trafford on May 26, will parade players who participated during the match at Barca’s home ground Nou Camp in 1999.
Ex-United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will seat in the dugout while the quarter of Beckham, Paul Scholes, Nicky Buttt and Jesper Blomqvist run the show on the pitch.
