Lobi Stars' Chidiebube Duru has stated that he has overcome the hamstring complaint that ruled him out of their last Caf Champions League tie against Wydad Casablanca.
Duru was missing from the Pride of Benue side that were silenced 1-0 by the Moroccans but the defender revealed that he has resumed training and has been declared fit to play for his club again.
"I couldn't play against Wydad at home because I got an injury that sidelined me. I really would have loved to play but the Doctor advised me to rest the hamstring so that the injury won't aggravate " Duru told Goal.
"Those that played gave a good account of themselves and we were only unlucky to lose that game because we played very well but we were unable to convert the chances that came our way. It is football and we must deal with it.
"We have realised what we did wrong at home and are expecting a positive result in Casablanca because we have prepared very well for the game and have corrected the mistakes noticed in our last game with them.
"I am happy that I have overcome my injury worries and looking forward to helping my team against Wydad Casablanca. We do not expect an easy game and we are going to give our hosts a big push for the three points."
Lobi Stars are third in Group A with three points from three games ahead of their Tuesday night fixture with Wydad Casablanca.
