Jose Mourinho discusses Alexis Sanchez amid Man United move rumours

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Alexis Sanchez in recent days as they look to beat Manchester City to the player under their noses.

Reports emerged on Wednesday afternoon that Man United were surprise contenders for the Chilean’s future.

The forward is certain to leave Arsenal in the months, whether that be in January or at the end of the season.

The player is refusing to sign a new deal at the Emirates and will be free to move at the end of the season for nothing.

Now, a whole host of clubs are seemingly registering an interest in the player but there are two that really stick out.

Man City have always been favourites for the player but reports have now emerged that they are ready to drop a January deal.

That has pushed Manchester United to favourites for the player with many bookmakers.

Though, Jose Mourinho is keeping his cards very close to his chest despite calling the player ‘phenomenal’.

“Sanchez is an Arsenal player. I don’t know for sure but probably this weekend he is going to wear Arsenal colours,” he explained.

“I don’t think it is correct to say things about Alexis Sanchez.

“What I can say is that with the Manchester United board we do not believe a lot in the January market.

“We don’t believe in signing a player just to do something.

“What we believe is there are some players in the football world where if you have a chance to sign them then you have to try.

“All I can say is that Sanchez is a phenomenal player, apart from that, an Arsenal player, I feel I shouldn’t say much more than this.”

Massive new Alexis Sanchez update suggests Man City deal is off

This all comes after the news that Manchester City are ready to pull out of a deal for the player.

This comes down to a couple of reasons and it now looks unlikely the player will move to the Etihad this month.
