ABUJA—VICE President Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, met behind closed doors with Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State and his Adamawa State counterpart, Governor Jibrila Bindo, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The two governors, who met the vice president separately are seeking re-election on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, and were trailing behind their Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, opponents before the results of election were declared inconclusive.
Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared elections in six states of Benue, Adamawa, Sokoto, Bauchi, Plateau and Kano inconclusive.
INEC had explained that the number of canceled votes were higher than the figure the leading candidate has against the opponent.
