There’s also an array of waterfront destinations including La Mer comprising distinct zones like the beach, leisure and entertainment hub, a spread of tantalising cafes and restaurants and the latest addition to Dubai’s exciting waterparks, Laguna Waterpark.

The newly-opened area of Al Seef is making its mark on Dubai’s heritage district. Located near the iconic Dubai Creek, the 232,000sqm development includes a distinct heritage area featuring old architecture, which then blends into more contemporary structures. Al Seef is also home to a myriad of shopping concepts throughout the open-air market, as well as an irresistible collection of restaurants.

Dubai’s latest iconic island destination, Bluewaters Island is set to boast 200 retail and dining concepts in a modern district featuring unparalleled views of the Arabian Gulf. Located off Jumeirah Beach Residences, Bluewaters is also home to Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel, rising as the centrepiece of the island.

Global Village brings cultures together to help visitors explore different countries around the world in just a few hours, be it London’s Big Ben, the leaning tower of Pisa in Italy, the Taj Mahal or Ancient Egypt. There’s plenty to enjoy for the whole family, with more than 75 countries displaying traditional handicrafts and snacks across 30+ pavilions.

With year-round sun and a combination of both the desert and beach, Dubai is the perfect setting to be swept away by high-adrenaline activities.

The city’s forest-style playscapes have been specially designed to bring children closer to nature with grass to roll on, dirt to dig in, plants to explore and water to splash through. The Aventura Nature Park is a one-of-a-kind rope treetop adventure destination that features zip lines, horizontal and vertical climbing walls, and a rope course challenge, perfect for the whole family. The XPark Jr adventure park, meanwhile, features tree houses, wooden bridges and climbing nets, a sandy play area, petting zoo, and even a “mud kitchen” to help young children connect with nature.

For those who prefer to beat the heat indoors, families can keep cool and be entertained with a myriad of different options across the city like the world’s largest indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure

Whether you seek the thrill of great heights or want to lose yourself in a fully immersive virtual reality experience, there’s something for the entire family to explore at The Dubai Mall. Kids can conquer the pretend world at KidZania, with more than 80 role-playing activities and over 60 city establishments to help them build essential real-life skills as firemen, doctors, police officers, beauticians, or budding astronauts.

Meanwhile, those looking to challenge reality with thorough mind-blowing experiences can head to the VR Park to immerse themselves in a virtual reality experience, the Hysteria haunted attraction to journey through their darkest nightmares, or just have a swell time in a multi-projection technology at ScreenX for a new cinema viewing experience.

Visitors can also experience breath-taking views of the city from the world’s tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa, boasting two observations decks on the 124th and 125th floors, as well as the world’s highest observation deck (555m) on the 148th floor.
