Chelsea 6 – Qarabag 0: Goals & Reactions (official video)

Chelsea bagged their first win of the Champions League season with an extremely comprehensive win over Azerbaijani side Qarabağ FK.

The Londoners were looking to make a big splash in their return to the Europe’s top competition and they certainly did that.

Although Qarabag were not expected to be tough opponents, a 6-0 thrashing in the Champions League is impressive nonetheless.

Goals came from Pedro (5), Davide Zappacosta (30), Cesar Azpilicueta (55), Tiémoué Bakayoko (71) and Michy Batshuayi (76) with an own goal late on compounding Qarabag’s woes.

Next up for Chelsea in the Champions League will be a much sturdier opponent in Atletico Madrid who were held to a 0-0 draw by Roma in their first game.

    Davide wonder goal

The talking point of the game was no doubt to be Zappacosta’s full debut but what we weren’t expecting was a wonder goal.

The goal started when the player took on two Qarabag players on the right touchline and breezed past the opposition players.

Davide’s superb cross-cum-shot then sailed over the goalkeeper’s head and right into the corner of the net to give the side a 2-0 lead at the time.

For those who were questioning what the Italian would actually bring to the side, you now have your answer.

You can find the full highlights as well as Zappacosta’s goal below.

    Chelsea stars troll Victor Moses

While all in Stamford Bridge stood in awe of Davide Zappacosta’s goal, one player had to put his head down on the Chelsea bench.

That man was Victor Moses as his Chelsea teammates including David Luiz who was also on the bench trolled him after the Italian’s goal.

Moses looked to still be in high spirits as his teammates seemingly rubbed it in that his competition just scored an outrageous goal.

You’re just going to have to go one better, Victor!
