Arsenal’s Bernd Leno & Lucas Torreira costs revealed

    Arsenal’s double deal is imminent

Arsenal fans are waiting for the official confirmation.

If the papers and rumour mill are to be believed, Arsenal are on the verge of a major double signing.

The Gunners are on the way to being wholly transformed in 2018-19.

Unai Emery has left PSG to replace Arsene Wenger in Arsenal dugout. Emery has wasted little time overhauling the playing staff.

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Swiss international Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos is also on course to join the Gunners this summer.

Sokratis, 29, is looking to leave Borussia Dortmund to gain for game time in north London.

And now two more players could be on their way to Arsenal: Sampdoria’s defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira and Bayer Leverkusen goalie Bernd Leno.

Bernd Leno & Lucas Torreira: The cost

The Times on Thursday look into the figures behind the Lucas Torreira and Bernd Leno deals:

Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Bernd Leno as their first-choice goalkeeper and have agreed to bring in Lucas Torreira, the Uruguay midfielder, in deals that would cost nearly £50 million.

Breaking down the split in price tags, 26-year-old Leno is expected to be sold for around £22 million.

22-year-old Torreira is slightly more expensive, as he’ll cost Arsenal around £26.8 million.

    How close are the deals?

When can Arsenal fans expect to see confirmation that Torreira and Leno have signed?

That’s difficult to say, however social media updates suggest the Arsenal deals could be announced imminently.
