Angel Gomes considering Man United exit

Angel Gomes was a 74th minute sub for Man United on the final day of the Premier League season against Cardiff.

That was just the second cameo appearance for the 18-year-old in the league this season.

Gomes is under contract at Old Trafford until 2020, however Tuesday’s edition of A Bola claim that the teenager is considering leaving Man United.

A Bola claim that they’ve spoken to a source close to Angel Gomes, who has indicated a departure is on the cards.

Gomes is reportedly keen on “evolving” his talents while continuing to play for Man United U23s isn’t going to cut it.

Moreover, it’s reported that Gomes “believes he should have earned more opportunities during the season” to feature for the first team.

Gomes is looking for “more challenging” experiences, which is leading the youngster to “seriously” consider approaches from other clubs.

    Could he move to PSG?

Without any supporting evidence, A Bola report that PSG have previously expressed interest in Gomes.

The Portuguese papers also claims unnamed clubs in Spain and Portugal are also taking interest in the Man United teenager.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s comments on Gomes

A Bola close out their claiming that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently upset Gomes after the Cardiff game.

The paper claims the Man United manager singled out Gomes as being “physically more fragile than would be desirable.”

For the record, it’s unclear where A Bola pulled these quotes from.

After the Cardiff game, speaking generally, OGS said the following:

The big plus is that the season is over.

We can put a big line over it and move forward. We know we are too far behind where we want to be.

They’ve been going through a tough period, the players. They’re good players but, towards the end of the season, they’re fatigued mentally, physically.
