Two goals from the former Kano Pillars’ forward, and one from Ifeanyi Onuigbo gave the Anambra Warriors a 3-2 victory over the Maidugiri-based side in the Nigeria Professional Football League encounter over the weekend, and he believes the team is working round the clock to achieve results regardless of how tough the game is.
“I will say it’s a game of chance, and when you have a chance like this knowing the position you are on the table, you just have to take every chance you get,” Aggreh told Goal.
“For us, we are not doing well and are not doing badly either, but we have to learn how to achieve results.
“We have quality players in the squad and we just had to believe in ourselves before the game, at the end, I’m just happy for the team work yesterday and the encouragement for the technical crew.
“We just lost focus at that point, we thought we could score more goals but we forgot our back, so that was what caused us problems in the game, and our coach has warned against things like this before this game."
He aded: “The coach is getting it right, it’s just left with the players because we are coming from different clubs but we are working hard to make it work, and when it does, no one will be able to stop us.
“I know it is difficult for different players playing to be playing for the same club but as professionals, we are trying to adapt to the tactics quick and before the end of the season we will become better.
“For me I believe we don’t need to buy any player during the transfer window, but I’m not the coach nor the president, if they feel we need to buy players during the mid-season break, then we will welcome them.”
FCIU are ranked 12th on the table with 17 points from 14 games and they will travel to Godswill Akpabio Stadium to face Akwa United in their next outing.
