Alalade Wasiu is confident ABS FC can compete for honours in the Nigerian Professional Football League this season.
The former First Bank FC striker, who was among the 15 new players who were unveiled on Tuesday, believes that ABS FC is an enterprising team that will compete for honours in 2017.
"My wish is to come out more successful in NPFL like I have always done that with my teams. The collective target is to take the club as high as possible," Wasiu told Goal.
“But we must look at achieving this target with obvious focus, try to win the games as they come. Playing at this level is an opportunity and we must do everything to achieve our set target. That’s what we’re going to do.
“It really doesn’t matter the opposition because if you want to become a champion, you have to beat everyone. To be fair, there are tough teams in the NPFL but we've got what it takes to deliver."
The national U23 team (Dream Team) invitee also had plenty of positives on his personal target.
" I have a target to represent my beloved country (Nigeria) soon, though i know that to see such dream become real, i have to produce consistent performances," Alalade added
The 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will kickoff on January 14, 2017
