Sky: Joe Hart to join West Ham from Man City ‘in next few days’

As per a report from Sky Sports this evening, West Ham United expect to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart over the next few days.

Hart, who has been deemed surplus to requirements at current club Manchester City following the arrivals of both Claudio Bravo and Ederson, endured a difficult campaign on loan at Serie A side Torino last season.

Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Hart’s representatives already this summer, though he has been labelled a last resort should the club lose David De Gea to Real Madrid, which looks highly unlikely.

A number of other Premier League sides, including Liverpool, have also been linked with a move for the 71-time capped international, though Slaven Bilic’s West Ham look to have won the race for the out-of-favour 30-year-old.

    Temporary deal

It was rumoured that Manchester City would only be willing to allow Hart to leave on a permanent transfer, though tonight’s news paints a different picture regarding the stopper:

The Hammers’ deal for Hart may not be the only piece of business completed at the Olympic Stadium this week, with the capital club also said to be confident of signing Stoke City winger Marko Arnautovic in the near future.
