    Reports: Barcelona submit bid for Spurs star Dele Alli

    According to a number of reports in Spain this evening, La Liga giants Barcelona have submitted their first official offer for Tottenham Hostpur midfielder Dele Alli.

    Alli, a product of the MK Dons youth academy, has long been regarded as one of the most promising talents in English football, with the attacking midfielder’s combination of touch, vision and eye for goal leading to a number of Europe’s top clubs registering their interest with Spurs.

    Blaugrana interest

    Of these sides, the most persistently linked have been Spanish giants Barcelona, with the board of the Catalunyan club said to be huge admirers of Alli’s talents.

    Diario Gol even reported yesterday that star men Lionel Messi and Neymar are very keen on the idea of linking up with the 21-year-old star.

    Opening offer

    And, as per a number of reports throughout the Spanish media, the Blaugrana have taken their interest a step further tonight by lodging an opening offer for the free-scoring midfielder.

    The bid, said to be worth 45 million Euro, will no doubt be rejected out of hand by officials at White Hart Lane, who have insisted on multiple occasions that their prodigious youngster is not for sale at any price.
