Having spent from 2002 to the present season at Bayern and has been an ever-present.

The last player to be inducted into the club’s hall of fame was Oliver Kahn in 2008.

He will not be the only Bayern player hanging up his boots this coming weekend.

Xabi Alonso will also call time on his illustrious career after the game against Freiburg.

    Step back

Back towards the beginning of the year Lahm confirmed he would look to step away from football for a bit.

That came after suggestions that he would take over as a director of Bayern.

It is yet to be seen whether his stance has changed but time will tell.
