Pep Guardiola names Man City star as ‘one of the best players’ he’s seen

    Massive plaudits

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has named Kevin De Bruyne as “one of the best players I’ve ever seen in my life” after Feyenoord clash.

The Belgian played a starring role in the sides 4-0 domination of the Dutch side but Guardiola’s plaudits come after the player didn’t even score.

Though, his effect on the game was clear for everyone to see as he pulled out all the stops to impress away in the Netherlands.

“Kevin is one of the best players I’ve ever seen in my life,” Guardiola explained.

“We are so proud and so happy he is with us.”

    Big night for Stones

The player who did tick all the boxes this evening was John Stones, who scored two goals and kept a clean sheet.

The Englishman was one of the first players that Pep Guardiola signed and his performance tonight showed just why the side splashed £45million on signing the player.

Stones scored one goal in the first half, and one in the second and the defensive stats certainly made it a big difference too.

    Dynamic duo

While the defence and the midfield have been talked about, the attack has been glossed over post-match.

That comes after Argentine star Sergio Aguero continued his recent goalscoring tally with another one against Feyenoord.

Next time him was Gabriel Jesus who was once seen to be the replacement for Aguero who was set to leave Manchester City.

Now, the two players are playing in tandem and impressing at the same time.

The two forwards impressed against Liverpool in their 5-0 thrashing and the game against Feyenoord will only cement their places in the team together.
