    Official: Middlesbrough sign striker Martin Braithwaite from Toulouse

    Championship side Middlesbrough have this evening confirmed the signing of Martin Braithwaite from French outfit Toulouse.


    A versatile attacker who can line out either as a centre-forward, on the wing or in the no.10 role, Braithwaite was recently described as ‘fast, technical and good in one-one-one situations‘ by Denmark boss Age Hareide following a World Cup quailifer with Romania back in March.

    The 26-year-old has made 16 appearances for his country, and notched 12 goals in 37 competitive showings for Toulouse last season.


    Premier League sides West Ham United and Crystal Palace had both also been linked with moves for Braithwaite, though it was Middlesbrough who showed the most determination to land the Danish star, who put pen to paper on a 4-year contract at the Riverside Stadium this afternoon.
