Good news for Liverpool: Chelsea will sell Eden Hazard to Barcelona

    Liverpool, Chelsea & Barcelona

Every weekend without fail, the Express on Sunday have a hard-to-believe transfer transfer.

This Sunday is no different, as the headline story on the paper’s website claims that Eden Hazard could be about to leave Chelsea to join Barcelona.

The rumour, of course, is wrapped up in Neymar leaving Barca to join PSG.

It’s become clear that the Catalans never thought this deal would actually happen, and they are now dealing with trying to plug the Neymar sized hole in their starting XI.

Most of the talk in recent days has centred on Philippe Coutinho walking out of Liverpool to move to the Cam Nou.

But, in news Liverpool fans will be happy to hear, it’s now claimed Barca could swoop for Hazard instead.

Wishing my friend @neymarjr well in France. This will be your next trophy! #friends #ligue1 #france

    What’s the story?

The morning after Chelsea lost 3-2 at home to Burnley, the Express tell their readers the following:

Chelsea have reportedly told Barcelona they can sign wing wizard Eden Hazard for a huge £109 million this summer.

Such a deal would make (Hazard) the second most-expensive player in history, only behind Neymar and ahead of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

If that wasn’t enough, the Express also believe Chelsea could sell Hazard to Barca if the Spaniards include Sergi Roberto as part of the deal.

Does anyone actually think this is going to happen?

    Hazard update

Would Hazard even pass a medical at the Cam Nou at the moment?

The Belgian star is still on the sidelines having picked up an injury at the start of the summer.

Hazard could remain out of action for another few weeks, as he missed Chelsea’s entire pre-season schedule.

It’s worth noting that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte recently laughed off suggestions that Barcelona will make a move for Belgian star Eden Hazard to replace Neymar Jr.
