Ghana’s Boakye on target in Red Star Belgrade Europa League draw

Richmond Boakye was on target as Red Star Belgrade were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Irtysh Pavlodar in the first leg of their Uefa Europa League second qualifying round encounter.

The 24-year-old striker gave the Red-Whites the lead from the spot in the 51st minute.

But just on the verge of leaving the Central Stadium with the maximum points, Dimitar Dimitrov’s men were given a penalty which was dispatched by Stefan Zivkovic.

The Ghana international was taken off in the 90th minute.

Vladan Milojević's men welcome the Kazakhstan side to the Rajko Mitić Stadium on July 20 for the second leg of the encounter.
