Cristiano Ronaldo accused of cussing Mexico

    Mexico 2 – Portugal 2

After Russia beat New Zealand on Saturday in the Confederations Cup opener, Sunday saw the competition really lift off.

In the first match, Mexico and Portugal played out a thrilling 2-2 draw, while that was followed up with a 2-0 win for Chile over Cameroon.

    El Tri leave it late

Mexico recorded a late draw after Hector Moreno scored in second half injury time in the Kazan Arena.

Prior to that, Portugal had twice taken the lead in the contest. Cristiano Ronaldo teed up Ricardo Quaresma for the opener, before Southampton defender Cedric Soares put Portugal 2-1 up in the final ten minutes.

Mexico earlier levelled the contest 1-1 when Javier Hernandez headed home from close range.

    Ronaldo caught cussing

There’s plenty of issues concerning Ronaldo right now – 14.7 million reasons to be exact – and now the Real Madrid star could have added another problem on top of that.

Mexicans have the hump with the Real Madrid star as he was caught mouthing “they are very bad” to Pepe during Sunday’s Confederations Cup match.

But was Ronaldo talking about his opponents? That’s hard to say for sure, as it’s possible Cristiano was having a go at the referees, those in charge of the VAR technology, or perhaps the press at large.
