Brilliant news for Man United as David De Gea lays out future plans

    Best in the world

David De Gea has claimed he wants to become the best goalkeeper in the world, and that he works to make that happen.

He also noted that there is a huge amount of competition at Manchester United, and it helps him in his quest to be the best and train as hard as he can, showing off his skills with a world class save against Stoke City in the Premier League on the weekend and keeping four clean sheets for United already this season.

The Express report he said: “I always want to be the best.

“I train hard to improve every day, in every training [session], so I work really hard to be the best keeper in the world.

“I don’t know who is the best at the moment but this is what I want – to be the best.

“All three keepers at United – Sergio, Joel and me – train really hard to be the player who is on the pitch to play in the games.

“Now I feel really strong, really confident.

“Everyone trains hard to be in the XI and that’s it.”

    Real Madrid move?

De Gea has been strongly linked with Real Madrid, and it seems that the links won’t go away, with the player once again thought to be considering a move to La Liga.

Given he’s already one of the best in Europe, it seems that he will only develop and improve, meaning interest will come from other clubs.

Jose Mourinho is thought to be determined to keep the player, and will not sell him to Real Madrid, though a swap deal for Gareth Bale could well be revisited in the summer should the winger want to leave Real Madrid.
