    ATBU [23rd-25th] Combined Convocation Ceremony Schedule Of Events


    Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University has announced the schedule of events for the 23rd, 24th and 25th combined convocation ceremony. All members of the public and graduating students are hereby informed.

    The ATBU 23rd, 24th and 25th Combined Convocation Ceremony will be graduating students that graduated in the 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 academic session. See the full programme of events below.

    ATBU Convocation Ceremony Schedule

    The Governing Council and Senate of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi (ATBU) have approved the dates of the Combined 19th – 22nd Convocation Ceremonies.

    All 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 graduands of the University, their parents and the general public are invited to the 23rd, 24th and 25th Combined Convocation Ceremony slated for Friday, 11th May and Saturday 12th May, 2018.

    ATBU Convocation Programme of Events

    Day 1: Friday, 11th May, 2018
    1.) Convocation Lecture by Dr. Maikanti Kachalla Baru, Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (N N PC).

    • Topic: Enhancing University/Industry Collaboration to support Nigerian Content Policy, Industrialisation and Economic Growth.
    • Time: 4:00 pm
    • Venue: 1000 Seat Capacity University Lecture Theatre, Yelwa Campus. (Contact: 08123565656)

    2.) Exhibition

    • Venue: Faculty of Environmental Technology, Phase 1, Court Yard.
    • Time: From 10.00am (Contact: 08020526529)

    3.) Chancellor’s Night

    • Venue: Vice-Chancellor’s Residence, Rimi Close, GRA, Bauchi (Contact: 07036934597)

    Day 2: Saturday 12th May, 2018
    1.) Convocation

    • Venue: Temporary Convocation Square, Between Faculty of Environmental Technology and PTDF Building, Yelwa Campus.
    • Time: 10.00am prompt
      • Award of Prizes: Diplomas; First Degree and Postgraduate Degrees.
      • Induction of Graduates into ATBU Alumni Association.

    2.) Refreshments for VIPs

    • Venue: Faculty of Environmental Technology, Phase II, Courtyard.
    • Time: Immediately after the Convocation Ceremony.

    3.) Refreshments for Graduands and Visitors

    • Venue: PTDF Building
    • Time: Immediately after the Convocation Ceremony.

    Notes to Journalists and Photographers

    Those covering the Convocation shall be accredited on Friday 11th May, 2018 at the Old Council Chamber Yelwa Campus between 10,00am and 12.00 noon. (Contact: 08023747760)

    Notes on Security

    • Luggage and bags are not allowed into the Convocation Area.
    • University Security Personnel will direct guests to their designated parking lots.
    • Car stickers provided should be pasted on the wind screens of vehicles.
